Blender Modeling Commands by AMProSoft Blender Modeling Commands by AMProSoft
I thought this would be quick and easy to do but it actually ended up taking forever. But at least I now have all of this useful info in one place to refer back to. And so do you. Most of it may be review, but maybe you'll learn something new. If you find any of this information useful I would to have you browse my actual art and see if you'd like to watch or at least fav this and leave a comment.

Thanks! I'm quite new to Blender myself. I usually use Metasequoia (and I found an importer), but this should still be quite useful.

I added you to my watch list so I hope to see what you come up with in the future. In the mean time your 2d work is quite awesome.

Thanks. ^__^ Recently I've been combining 3D and 2D. I absolutely love the workflow. I find that starting in 3D gives me a great base to work from. Eventually, I would like to try creating some purely 3D art with minimal postwork. I'm still a ways off from that but I'm getting there thanks to Blender. <3 GPU rendering. :D

I do a lot of brushing up 3d work too. I agree, it's a nice work flow. I am working toward going extremely mixed media and blending photos, 3D and digipainting and whatever else works.

Good lord, where were you when I tried to get into Blender a few years back? I was totally flummoxed, and this would have really helped. Nicely done, well-written, the pictures are great. You have a gift for this. I'm afraid I can't give you any more substantive feedback, as I don't think I'll be returning to Blender any time soon. But I am in awe of those who can use it well.

A lot of this stuff is new and wasn't available a few years back. AND they keep changing the commands all around so you have to hunt them down again with new version releases. That's mainly what took me so long to compile this. I finally realized I need to go through the actual menu and figure it out anew and write it down for a lot of this stuff.

I think that's one of the minor drawbacks of blender: you can learn to make due with enough knowledge to be dangerous, but then it's easy to forget to go back in and try new features. If you don't see it in a tutorial somewhere it's easy to not know it's there.

Well, it's a problem with a lot of open-source software. Poor documentation and user interfaces that were designed by geeks. It's not just art-oriented stuff either. I use a product called Sonar at work, and it does a lot of cool code analysis, but some of the "features" are real head-scratchers. That's why it's so important to have people like you who are willing to jump in and try to make this stuff more usable. Blender's UI just baffled me.

Yeah. Don't even get me started on their user interface. It's very clear that they're very proud of it and how it works. So good for them (and nearly no one else).

Sweet, just what I need to get off my bottom and actually try to use blender, I didn't know that you could read minds :wow:
You're great at doing tutorials, nicely set out as always, very easy to follow (if I can follow it you're onto a winner ;) ) don't worry about the text size, it's excellent once you zoom in. Thank you yet again for something I think I will definately be using. Have a big squidgy hug :tighthug:

Thanks. I have been writing these in the hopes that some will find it useful. All the faves and views I've been getting with them suggests that some people must.

If you end up sculpting anything I wanna see. My first sculpts were pretty terrible.

I've noticed you've been getting excellent feed back for them. That must be an awesome feeling :D
Now I have to make sure my first sculpt looks desent if I've to show it to someone! Ahhh pressure :giggle:
Hope you're doing well, I know you've been really busy lately. Did you get moving house ok? Remember to take a few seconds to take things easy and relax

No one can compel you to display a sculpt before you're ready.

My love person is in the process of buying a house. The move in date may not be for a while yet. But the dismantling and packing is well under way here at the current house.

Aren't you sweet, I'll remember that :excited:

Your love person...that's too cute (love it) :D
I hate moving house, I've had to move twice in about 4 years. One was practically a secret midnight move to a new town (long story, but plays out like a soap opera lol) then I just moved to a nicer house.
But it's never easy, especially with a small child. But it will be great once it's all done, I'm sure you guys will be very happy in your new home
